No wingnut article of faith is ever surrendered. WikiLeaks did not reveal that Duhbya was right about WMD, but that won't stop Fox from lying to its viewers and claiming that it did.

The existential danger to our country is not from al Qaeda. It's from our own schlerotic inability to break through denial and accept reality.

Meaning

These scrapings off the bottom of the gene pool are terrorists (if guilty), but IEDs are not weapons of mass destruction. Murderous, evil, vicious, and criminal weapons, true, but they don't threaten mass destruction.

Some of these fringe-dwellers were arrested at home here. David B. Stone has a listed phone number, not really bright for an open seditionist.

Actionable intelligence

This CNN summary of this CBS story strikes me as the unvarnished truth.

• Saddam needed WMD to survive in a rough neighborhood.
• He wanted WMD.
• He didn't have WMD.
• He knew he couldn't stand and fight against the U.S. military, but he was caught between us and Iran.
• Duhbya is different than his father or Bill Clinton, and Saddam didn't figure that out in time.
• Saddam was a bad, violent, self-aggrandizing man.
• Interrogation works.

Scooter scoots

Scooter Libby helped out Valerie Plame to aid a craven political smear in a way that damaged American national security. She did after all work on WMDs. For this "service", Scooter got:

• his sentence commuted
• a legal defense trust - Hey, did he pay his fine out of it? Who gets to keep the balance?

Scooter's web site says, "We are confident that at the end of this process, Scooter Libby will be fully exonerated." Oops, I guess not! They've apparently taken down the donate page.

I still think Duhbya will pardon this shitheel. Republicans take care of their accessories.
