Novak the concern troll

Robert Novak is well-known as an insincere propagandist. Here, he pretends to critique Hillary's triangulation as premature. If she weren't running a centrist primary campaign, he'd be concerned about her ability to move to the center for the general election. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt - that's his job.

Why can Novakula still get paid for this tripe?

Propaganda source

Robert Novak only writes propaganda for Republicans. If you can't see the propaganda point of his column, it's just because he's a slipshod writer, not because he didn't have one.

Here, he claims that Nancy Pelosi is more powerful as Speaker than Tip O'Neill or Sam Rayburn. (Naturally, he makes no mention of Newtie Gingrich or Tom DeLay, Speaker in all but name.)

The obvious purpose of this claptrap is to change the subject away from Duhbya.

Really, Novakula should rework this as satire because it's ridiculous. The fact that he still has MSM outlets testifies to the dysfunction and unaccountability of our media.

Valerie Plame

On the Daily Show:

Mr. Novak has about as much credibility as this administration.
Robert Novak is such a rank and open propagandist that it's a puzzle why anyone listens to him.

Colson vs. Hitchens

Hard for me to take a side when a Nixonian and a Bush enabler duke it out. Better to have a beer and watch the bout, hoping for MAD.

Honestly, is there anything a conservative can do so that the media stops publishing him? Colson, Liddy, North, even Nixon himself, Novak. If Spiro Agnew had lived long enough, he'd have had his own syndicated media gig nattering on about liberal nabobs of negativism. The wingnuts would have loved that. Bribery? No one would have cared.

Good white boys

I was having dinner in the Countdown Pub the other night with Toby Keith, and I couldn't get over the fact that, even though MSNBC is a white-owned network and most of its on-air talent is white, they weren't all bloated, jowly, arrogantly stupid gasbags.

This is what black America doesn't know. They think white culture is dominated by Bob Novak, George Will, and the Roger Ailes posse.
