Ron Paul's "reasonable approach"

Millions of Americans held in bondage, and Ron Paul's chief concern is property rights of the slaveholders! Seriously.

So, should the Union have appropriated the money necessary to liberate the human chattel before or after the bombardment of Ft. Sumter? Ya think that appropriation would have passed with the Confederates still in Congress?

And Paul's second concern was Lincoln's expansion of federal powers in the face of insurrection. Yet he has been a loyal Bushist for most of his back-bench Congressional tenure.

This man is a lunatic even for a Republican.

(Yeah, this is late, but today is a day we honor a man who saw beyond pat and foolish formulas, libertarian or otherwise.)
